The Dominican Province of the Philippines, through Fr. Quirico T. Pedregosa, Jr., OP, Prior Provincial requested Bishop Dinualdo Gutierrez, Bishop, Diocese of Marbel on 08 May 2011 to grant the Dominican Fathers “permission to establish a formal house in General Santos City”. This means the Dominicans in General Santos City will enjoy canonical autonomy. As of now the priests assigned in General Santos City “have their formal assignation to Bahay Dominiko,” the provincialate house.
Bishop Dinualdo consulted the priests during the meeting in May 10, 2011 at Surallah Parish who gave their “placet” (okay).
