Sixty-five priests, diocesan and religious, from Marbel, Digos, Davao, Tagum and Mati, concelebrated in the funeral mass for Fr. Bernard on 13 October 2011 at Jesus the Good Shepherd Parish Church. Presider – Bishop. Main celebrant – Fr. Joseph Benitez, Episcopal Vicar for South Cotabato. Homilist – Fr. Ronald Plomillo, Rector, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Seminary, Koronadal City. He died 06 October 2011, 6:15am, GSC Doctors’ Hospital.
Around 200 vehicles accompanied the remains to Matutum Cemetery.
